Verify your ticket: A lottery ticket worth $3 million was purchased in New Mexico

The Mega Millions Lottery has declared that a fortunate ticket holder in New Mexico has won $3 million. This marks the second-highest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be claimed in the state. On April 28, 2023, the winning combination was revealed, consisting of the following numbers: 18, 38, 53, 62, 64, along with the Mega Ball number 20. New Mexico Lottery officials urge local residents to verify their tickets to see if they match the winning numbers.

As per the New Mexico Lottery, the ticket that won $1 million initially failed to match the Mega Ball number. However, the player had also purchased the Megaplier option for an additional dollar, which tripled their winnings and transformed the $1 million ticket into a $3 million prize.

Regrettably, nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot on April 28, 2023. The upcoming jackpot for May 2, 2023, is $52 million. All awards must be claimed within 90 days of the drawing.
